Designation: Resident
Director
Locations: Could be for
any of our office locations (Mumbai, Delhi,
Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Singapore or New
York)
Summary of the role:
This is not
a position that we fill for each office location. It
is typically filled by a person who has been
successful in our organization over several years
and is ready to take on a role of managing people,
owning a P&L and being a key cog in our
company’s growth.
We are
open to consider a person from the outside directly
for a Resident Director position if they are a great
cultural fit with the right executive search and
rainingmaking experience. It has just not happened
yet.
Ideal prior experience:
–
15 years+ of experience (at least 10 of which would
be as a successful leadership hiring consultant with
a track record of achieving personal targets). The
rest could be in a successful business development
role.
– You must intimately
understand the dynamics and idiosyncrasies of the
executive search business and what it takes to be
successful in getting retained mandates and closing
high-stakes positions.
– You
must have a breadth of industry expertise and people
network in at least one of the industries in which
we specialize: Lifesciences, Engineering, Consumer
Goods & Services, Technology/Media/Internet,
Financial Services.
– You
must be confident in your ability to succeed to be
able to handle a large team and be an enabler for
your team’s success.
Designation: Principal – Business Development
Locations: Could be for any of our office locations (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Singapore or New York). We may consider a great candidate for a location in which we do not have an office.
Your Industry focus: Could be any of the following – Lifesciences, Technology/Media/Internet, Engineering & Industrials, Consumer Goods & Retail, Financial Services.
Summary of the role:
This is a
critical role in our organization. People in this
role are expected to possess the capability to
generate new business with current and future
clients. As a Principal – BD, you are expected
to be a great concept seller to clients to explain
the value we bring viz-a-viz an internal recruiter,
get mandate exclusivity & retainers, pitch
higher fees and gain a client’s trust. You are
also expected to work with a recruitment partner to
deliver a mandate while you oversee the relationship
with the client.
It is a
target-driven role so you also must be confident in
your ability to carry out the tasks described above
to achieve your target and earn attractive
performance incentives.
Ideal prior experience:
–
8-12 years of experience in a concept selling
business development role. You could be senior sales
executive in an specific industry or a senior BD
executive in a services industry like consulting or
executive search.
– You
must have a track record of meeting business
development and revenue billing targets.
Designation: Leadership Hiring
Consultant
Levels/ Grades:
Consultant, Sr. Consultant, Account Delivery
Manager, Principal
Location: Could be for any of our office locations (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Singapore or New York). We may consider a great candidate for a location in which we do not have an office.

Summary of the role:
A
leadership hiring consultant or recruiter is the
backbone of our organization. They are the reason
why clients ultimately come to us and stay with us.
Quality candidate evaluations, high quality
servicing, agile delivery and follow-up and a
proactive approach to salary discussions and closing
negotiations are KRAs of a leadership hiring
consultant. This role involves high stakeholder
engagement responsibilities as well – you will
engage with your business development partner,
candidates and client hiring managers and keep them
informed and satisfied with developments.
Depending on your experience,
maturity and industry knowledge, we hire consultants
at different seniority levels as described above.
Ideal prior experience:
–
Anywhere from 0 to 12 years of experience. We are
flexible with the experience level because we
believe that top quality leadership consultants can
be developed if they have the right attitude, a
willingness to learn and a hunger to succeed.
– For a more seasoned
consultant (6+ years in recruiting), you must have a
good understanding of your industry of expertise,
the different roles in it, a decent idea of current
salary benchmarks in that industry, a familiarity
with the candidate pool, the ability to take a
detailed job brief and the ability to manage
expectations of hiring managers and candidates.
– For a junior executive or
fresher, your attitude, diligence and reasons for
wanting to become a high impact recruiter with us
will form the core of our evaluation of you.
1) Internal Recruitment &
HR
We are looking for candidates
who are passionate about our organization. That is
90% of the job. Can you tell the PSS story to
influence good candidates who may not otherwise have
heard of us, much less join us?
You will work directly with our
executive directors and gain exposure to hiring for
critical sales and consulting roles for a service
organization like us. We have found that people who
have high energy, follow an organized approach, are
super persistent and can communicate well orally and
in written form, do well with us in this role. There
is no minimum experience required but some prior
recruitment experience sure helps.
2) Digital & Social Media
Marketing
With recruiting becoming
increasing social on platforms like LinkedIn,
Google, Facebook and various job portals, we see a
need to be fully optimized on all digital mediums.
As our Digital Marketing & Events
Manager, you will be responsible for gaining
eyeballs to our digital content and followers to our
LinkedIn, Youtube, social media pages and insights
blog. You will also be involved in organizing events
like our bi-annual leadership webinars which bring
thoughts experts from across the spectrum for an
online webinar that is organized and curated by us
to an audience that includes our various
stakeholders.
3) Full-Stack Software Engineer/
Developer
This role is typically
filled by a young and inquisitive software
programming engineer to join our organization as a
Back-end developer with expertise in building web
applications on the Ruby on Rails framework (Rails
4.1, Ruby 2.3) and mySQL and MongoDB databases.
Someone with about 4-8 years of experience, including half of that experience building ROR applications will be ideal for this role. You must have strong grounding of OOPs programming concepts and a general knowledge of front end skills like HTML, CSS and JS among other skills – we generally find that Computer Science engineers from good technology institutes are the best fit for us.
4) Finance/MIS, Client Accounts &
Administration roles
While we do not hire
frequently for these roles since there are
long-standing incumbents, these vacancies can open
up from time to time.
A good attitude and good
analytical skills are general traits that we look
